Big Game from Chopoff As Carlmont Won 42-38

Starting off the list is Carlmont's Sean Chopoff, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Chopoff picked up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

San Mateo picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Emmanuel J Fitzgerald. J Fitzgerald was dynamite, rushing for 167 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 113 rushing yards.

Unfortunately for Terra Nova, this isn't the first big game they've seen from J Fitzgerald. Back in October of 2023 (the last time J Fitzgerald saw the Tigers), he rushed for 222 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry.

Crockett V Made His Presence Known in Sequoia's 21-20 Victory

Jordan Crockett V was instrumental in extending Sequoia's winning streak to three on Friday. Nobody could stop Crockett V as he rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Crockett V is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 109 every time he's taken the field this season.

This year, Crockett V has run in 5 touchdowns while averaging 144 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after three games last season, he was only averaging 15.67 rushing yards per game.

Rico Templin Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Terra Nova had to settle for second even though Rico Templin put up the best numbers he has all season. Templin wasn't messing around, making 19 total tackles (3.0 for loss). The game was his seventh straight with seven or more total tackles dating back to last season.

Terra Nova dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Templin and Terra Nova are taking a road trip to square off against Carlmont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
