Boyle County is 6-1 against Pulaski County since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rebels will look to defend their home field against the Maroons at 6:00 p.m. Boyle County is coming into the game hot, having won their last 16 games.

On Monday, Boyle County beat East Jessamine 6-2.

Caeden Patterson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Boyle County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Claunch, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Owen Wheeler was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Pulaski County came up short against North Laurel on Saturday and fell 9-6.

Will Adams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ben Gaskin, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Boyle County pushed their record up to 22-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Pulaski County, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Boyle County was able to grind out a solid victory over Pulaski County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 8-5. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Maroons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
