Softball Game Preview: Strath Haven Panthers vs. Harriton Rams

Strath Haven is a perfect 4-0 against Harriton since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Harriton will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Strath Haven extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand Radnor a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harriton). They put the hurt on Penncrest with a sharp 22-6 win on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Strath Haven's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Harriton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Strath Haven got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Harriton by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
