            The King's Way Christian Knights will head out on the road to  take on  the Cascade Christian Cougars  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.
King's Way Christian is probably headed into the  matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering La Center just ended the team's  four-game winning streak  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of  5-3.
 Derek Tarnoski put in work no matter where he played. He  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up  five earned runs off   eight  hits (and not a single walk). What's more,  he gave up only zero  walks, the fewest he's  had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Cascade Christian fell victim to Charles Wright and their airtight pitching crew  two weeks ago. They fell just short of the Tarriers by a score of  2-0. The Cougars' loss continues a  trend for the  team, making it three in a row.
 Tyler Neeley was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Ben Dewey was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  double.
 King's Way Christian's  defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Cascade Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
