Menlo School extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Piedmont Hills. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Pirates. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won eight matchups in a row.

Liam Widner was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Widner was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

In other batting news, Zach Roeder was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Menlo School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Piedmont Hills only posted a batting average of .160.

Menlo School's record now sits at 20-8. As for Piedmont Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.

Menlo School didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Monterey on the 29th. Piedmont Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
