Baseball Recap: Kettle Run Drops Season-High Score on Handley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kettle Run). Everything went their way against the Handley Judges on Monday as they made off with a 19-0 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Kettle Run has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Handley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kettle Run will take on rival James Wood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Handley is set to square off against their familiar foe Brentsville District at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
