Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Prep Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Sacred Heart Prep had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Redwood Giants on Friday as Sacred Heart Prep made off with a 3-0 win. The Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Giants, too.

Sacred Heart Prep never let Redwood on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.

Redwood's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-3.

Sacred Heart Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Redwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Novato at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
