Basketball Game Preview: Dayton Dust Devils vs. Fernley Vaqueros

Dayton is 1-9 against Fernley since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Dayton Dust Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Fernley Vaqueros at 7:30 p.m.

Dayton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Fernley, who was ranked 12th at the time (Dayton was ranked 16th). Dayton lost to Fernley on the road by a 57-39 margin on Saturday. The contest marked the Dust Devils' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Fernley, bringing their record for this year to 9-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
