Recap: Cullman Bearcats vs. Northwestern Wildcats
The Cullman Bearcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwestern. That's two games in a row now that Cullman has lost by exactly six points.
Makayla Presser-Palmer was her usual excellent self, scoring 38 points along with nine rebounds and six steals for Northwestern. The game was Presser-Palmer's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Chloe Yazembiak was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists.
Cullman's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Northwestern, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Cullman will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Sevier County at 12:00 p.m. on January 3rd. Sevier County will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Northwestern will take on Titusville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Titusville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 642nd, while Northwestern is ranked 126th).
