Volleyball Recap: Rossville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rossville walked away with it. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over McLouth on Monday. Winning may never get old, but Rossville sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Rossville was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-8.

Rossville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooke Springer out in front who had five aces and four digs. That's the most aces Springer has posted since back in September.

Springer wasn't the only good servers: Rossville was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

Rossville's victory bumped their record up to 25-13. As for McLouth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 21 of their last 22 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-32-1 record this season.

Rossville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Central Heights on the 20th. McLouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
