Baseball Recap: American Leadership Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Payson, American Leadership Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Providence Hall Patriots by a score of 7-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

American Leadership Academy's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gaige Morgan, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Morgan is becoming a predictor of the Eagles' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-13 when he doesn't). Another was Ian Heaps, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

American Leadership Academy's record is now 6-13. As for Providence Hall, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

American Leadership Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
