St. Louis Catholic won the last time they faced Merryville and things went their way on Monday too. The St. Louis Catholic Saints narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Merryville Panthers 8-7.
Mattie Fullington made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Fullington was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Ellie Gage was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Camille Oustalet, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
St. Louis Catholic's record is now 5-3. As for Merryville, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As for Merryville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Merryville Panthers take on Basile Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. They will need to watch out since Basile has now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
