St. Louis Catholic won the last time they faced Merryville and things went their way on Monday too. The St. Louis Catholic Saints narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Merryville Panthers 8-7.

Mattie Fullington made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Fullington was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Ellie Gage was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Camille Oustalet, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

St. Louis Catholic's record is now 5-3. As for Merryville, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Louis Catholic will square off against Kinder at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kinder will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something St. Louis Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Merryville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Merryville Panthers take on Basile Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. They will need to watch out since Basile has now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
