Football Recap: West Plains Skates Past Bushland with Ease

West Plains never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Bushland Falcons 45-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Falcons are ranked 275th).

It was another big night for REID MACON, who threw for 312 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per attempt. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. West Plains' leading receiver KANE WHITE-TINSLEY was MACON's top target yet again, picking up 92 receiving yards and three TDs.

West Plains didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of BOSTON LADD and WHITE-TINSLEY. LADD got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win keeps West Plains at an undefeated 4-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 38.8 points thus far. As for Bushland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

West Plains will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Liberty Christian at 6:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Bushland, they will challenge Dumas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Demons have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
