Basketball Recap: Cashmere Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cashmere can now relate to. They took a 45-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lynden Christian Lyncs on Thursday. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Bulldogs, who fell 50-48 when the teams last met back in March of 2018.

Cashmere's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Lynden Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Cashmere and Lynden Christian are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Cashmere won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Zillah at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Zillah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Cashmere likes a good challenge. As for Lynden Christian, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against King's at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with King's sitting on five straight wins and Lynden Christian on six.
