Recap: Ventura Cougars vs. Pacifica Tritons
There's no place like home for the Ventura Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 71-43 win over Pacifica. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Ventura has posted since November 16, 2023.
Ventura was led to victory by Caleb Sebek and Travis Valenzuela. Sebek scored 22 points along with five rebounds, while Valenzuela dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sebek has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Parsa Kamali, who scored seven points.
Ventura's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Pacifica, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ventura will take on San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in San Marcos' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matchups. As for Pacifica, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oxnard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Oxnard will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
