Soccer Recap: Sunnydale Academy Comes Up Short

Sunnydale Academy's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Kirksville Tigers by a score of 1-0. Philip Onek was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Sunnydale Academy now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Kirksville, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunnydale Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Missouri Military Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Kirksville, they will face off against Hannibal at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give Kirksville their first taste of in-conference action this season.
