Hialeah-Miami Lakes extends road losing streak to 21

Recap: Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans vs. Westland Hialeah Wildcats

The Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 56-44 to Westland Hialeah. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hialeah-Miami Lakes in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westland Hialeah to victory, but perhaps none more so than Frank Sosa, who scored 30 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Sosa hasn't dropped below 16 points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Tim Trimmings, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.

Hialeah-Miami Lakes dropped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Westland Hialeah, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Hialeah-Miami Lakes will square off against the Wildcats at TBD on Tuesday. As for Westland Hialeah, they will head out on the road to challenge the Thoroughbreds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
