It was a Battle of the Birds when Silver Lake took on Sabetha on Thursday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Bluejays with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Eagles have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Silver Lake and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Sabetha, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Silver Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sabetha, they will welcome Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cyclones' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Bluejays' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
