Basketball Recap: Tree of Life Christian Comes Up Short

Tree of Life Christian lost against Genoa Christian Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tree of Life Christian Trojans took a 39-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Genoa Christian Academy. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leah Kinley was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points for Genoa Christian Academy. Kinley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Bella Baer was another key player, earning two points and ten boards.

Tree of Life Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Genoa Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tree of Life Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Genoa Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Mansfield Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
