Volleyball Game Preview: Vanguard College Prep Lions vs. Lodi Academy Titans

After both having extra time off, the Vanguard College Prep Lions and the Lodi Academy Titans will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Monday, Vanguard College Prep made easy work of Humphreys Able Charter and carried off a 3-0 win. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Legacy recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-6, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Lodi Academy got the win against Sacramento Adventist last Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Lodi Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Sacramento Adventist between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-18.

Lodi Academy found their leader in sophomore Han Rocky, who had 27 digs. Rocky is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

The win got Vanguard College Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Lodi Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
