Softball Recap: Nordonia Takes a Loss

Nordonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Twinsburg Tigers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Nordonia got a massive performance out of Maddie Nyce, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Nyce has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Haydn Paul, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Nordonia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Twinsburg, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nordonia will challenge Ellet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Orangemen will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Twinsburg, they will square off against Solon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
