After flying high against Appalachian Christian HomeSchool last Friday, Providence Academy came back down to earth. Providence Academy took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rhea County Golden Eagles on Saturday. Providence Academy's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Providence Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Rhea County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.

Providence Academy will welcome Berean Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Providence Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Rhea County, they will take on Elizabethton in a tournament on Monday. Rhea County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Elizabethton likes a good challenge.
