Thomas County Central hadn't done well against Tift County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Blue Devils. Winning may never get old, but the Yellow Jackets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Thomas County Central got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-28, 15-9.

Jaden Crews paced Thomas County Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Crews got some help from Kate Henson and her 23 assists. Crews was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
