After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Akron-Westfield, Gehlen Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks by a score of 7-4. The Jays haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Gehlen Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Gehlen Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-0 loss against St. Edmond on the 7th. As for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-10 defeat against Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley on the 7th.
