Recap: Logansport Berries vs. Wheeler Bearcats
The Logansport Berries's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wheeler.
Despite the defeat, Logansport saw an underclassman step up: Aracyn Good scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Goad, who scored ten points.
Even though they lost, Logansport were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Wheeler's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Ordonez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Lexi Cutka, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Logansport's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Wheeler, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
Logansport will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Argos on December 30, 2023. Argos is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.9 points per game. Wheeler and Northwestern will round out the year against one another at TBD on Saturday at.
