Football Game Preview: Refugio Bobcats vs. Mason Punchers + How To Watch

The Refugio Bobcats will take on the Mason Punchers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Refugio knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Mason likes a good challenge.

Refugio is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Ganado to the tune of 40-13. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Refugio's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ray Lewis, who rushed for 168 yards and three scores while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 104 yards and one TD on only nine passes. Lewis also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending one pass. Refugio also got a significant boost from Zander Wills, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 145 yards.

Meanwhile, Mason entered their tilt with Kenedy on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 41-37 W against the Lions.

Refugio's record now sits at 12-0. As for Mason, their record is now 10-3.

Refugio lost to Mason on the road by a decisive 28-14 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2018. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
