Softball Recap: Hellgate Knights vs. Sentinel Spartans

Hellgate extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 22 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-15. They came up short against the Sentinel Spartans, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 last Monday.

As for Sentinel, their record now sits at 17-2. Considering they have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Sentinel's part, Alyssa Hanninen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hanninen has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Ella Wingo was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Slater, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
