Basketball Recap: Clear Creek Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

If Front Range Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Clear Creek, they should've done a better job of containing Donovan Duke. The Clear Creek Golddiggers took down the Front Range Christian Falcons 53-38 on Tuesday thanks in part to Duke, who went 11-for-20 en route to 27 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. What's more, he also posted a 55% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Zephyrus Schuessler, who posted 13 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. Schuessler is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Front Range Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonah Freburg, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Haedan Morton was another key player, putting up six points in addition to 17 boards and five assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Clear Creek and bumps their season record up to 5-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Front Range Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
