Basketball Game Preview: Andrews Osborne Academy Phoenix vs. Lakeside Dragons

The Andrews Osborne Academy Phoenix will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Lakeside Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Andrews Osborne Academy is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of Fuchs Mizrachi by a score of 44-41 on Monday. The Phoenix's loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row dating back to last season.

Despite their defeat, Andrews Osborne Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alejandra Gil, who posted 19 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Belen Fueyo Jiminez, who put up 15 points.

Meanwhile, Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch back in November as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Grand Valley 58-27.
