Baseball Recap: Metuchen Takes a Loss

Metuchen might've scored the first runs on Saturday, but it was Union Catholic who claimed the real prize. The Bulldogs fell 5-2 to the Vikings. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Cooper Crawford made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Metuchen's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Union Catholic, they pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Metuchen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-3 victory against Perth Amboy on the 20th. Union Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
