Football Game Preview: West Salem Titans vs. Nelson

The West Salem Titans will take on Nelson on Friday.

West Salem is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Grants Pass, who was ranked 19th at the time (West Salem was ranked 22nd). The Titans fell just short of the Cavemen by a score of 31-28 on Friday. The Titans have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Meanwhile, Nelson had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They blew past the Cavaliers 63-7. Nelson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

West Salem's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Nelson, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
