Basketball Recap: Ashley Comes Up Short

Ashley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss. They had to suffer through a 71-28 loss at the hands of the St. Patrick Shamrocks. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 733rd, while the Shamrocks are ranked 231st).

Ashley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-22. As for St. Patrick, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Ashley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Patrick, they will take on Fulton in a tournament on Wednesday. Fulton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully St. Patrick likes a good challenge.
