Basketball Recap: Millwood Takes a Loss

Millwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 80-54 to the Moore Lions. The Falcons were probably out for revenge after losing 58-36 to them when the teams met back in January of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Moore's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Briana Blue, who went 12 for 18 on her way to 25 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeriah Alexander, who went 5 of 7 en route to 15 points.

Millwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Moore, they pushed their record up to 5-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Millwood has already played their next matchup, a 64-34 defeat against Cascia Hall on the 27th. As for Moore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-36 victory against Garden City on the 25th.
