Baseball Recap: Monarch Triumphs

The Monarch Coyotes narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Pendleton Buckaroos 3-2.

Monarch's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Blake Thompson, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Monarch now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pendleton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Monarch will challenge West Salem at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pendleton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pine Creek at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
