Baseball Recap: Tidewater Academy Comes Up Short

Tidewater Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 17-9 to the Broadwater Academy Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in March.

Tidewater Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Fillmore, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another was Adam Hanzlik, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Tidewater Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Broadwater Academy, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tidewater Academy will face off against Kenston Forest at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Broadwater Academy, they will take on Northampton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
