Reeltown extended the longest winning streak in 2A Region 5 this week by beating Prattville Christian Academy, 35-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Reeltown took down the Panthers 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tywone Stewart threw for 46 yards and one touchdown and ran for 140 yards in the win.

Randolph County's dynamic duo of Ty Sparks and Willis Knight proved tough for Montgomery Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sparks threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns and Knight had 147 yards receiving. Brad Benefield helped Randolph County's passing attack out by catching four balls for 59 yards.

The Tigers' Sparks and Knight have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Sparks has thrown for 1289 yards this season, while Knight, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 28 catches for 556 yards. Horseshoe Bend's Cory Battle leads the league in rushing yards with 927.

The Generals' Battle needs only 73 yards against Prattville Christian Academy next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Randolph County takes on Lanett. At the moment, Randy Sparks' team is in fourth, while the Panthers are in second.

Horseshoe Bend and LaFayette played the most hotly contested game in 2A Region 5 this week, with Horseshoe Bend eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory. Battle ran for 108 yards and caught seven passes for 90 yards in the win.
