Baseball Game Preview: Northwestern Trojans vs. Wando Warriors

The Northwestern Trojans will be taking part in a tournament against the Wando Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Northwestern is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While Northwestern didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against St. James on Saturday, sneaking past 5-4.

Meanwhile, Wando came up short against Chapman on Saturday and fell 11-6. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brady Gold made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Martens, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Northwestern's victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Wando, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
