Service was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in Cook Inlet. Earlier in the week, the Cougars defeated Dimond 28-14.

Service extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Lynx, 28-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for Numi Ilalio's team.

South's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zachary Lujan threw for 250 and three touchdowns and Wade Ellis had 88 yards receiving. On the ground Dante Williams chipped in 124 yards. Taylor Faagau helped South's passing attack out by catching two balls for 66 yards.

West's Conor Feckley and Eric Vandervort have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Feckley has thrown for 1267 yards this season, while Vandervort, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 28 catches for 489 yards. Williams from the Wolverines leads the league in rushing with 506 yards.

The marquee game in Cook Inlet this week will be the clash between Eagle River and Bartlett. The Wolves enters the contest ranked 17th in the state, while the Golden Bears ranks 22nd.

Chugiak made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,305 from 9,326. The improvement was the result of 28-0 victory over Bartlett last week.
