Basketball Game Preview: Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears vs. Har-Ber Wildcats

The Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears and the Har-Ber Wildcats will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Holy Innocents Episcopal's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.

Last Friday, Holy Innocents Episcopal strolled past St. Francis with points to spare, taking the game 67-50. Given the Golden Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Knights are ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holy Innocents Episcopal's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Caleb Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards, and Devin Hutcherson, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds. Hutcherson is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Mccullough, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Har-Ber). They came out on top against Battle by a score of 84-73 on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Holy Innocents Episcopal pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Har-Ber, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
