Baseball Recap: Standing Bear Victorious

Standing Bear won the last time they faced Columbus and things went their way on Saturday too. The Grizzlies came out on top in a nail-biter against the Discoverers, sneaking past 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Kameron Foster, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last 12 games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Hiatt, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Standing Bear's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Columbus, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Standing Bear has already played their next contest, an 8-2 loss against Lincoln East on the 20th. As for Columbus, they will host Elkhorn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Antlers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
