 Union County was handed a two-point  defeat in their last  matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cumberland Gap  on Monday. The Union County Patriots put the hurt on the Cumberland Gap Panthers with a sharp  10-3 win. That's more bragging rights for Union County, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Gavin Janeway looked comfortable as he  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Ty Edds, who  scored four  runs and  stole six bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.  Tucker Flanagin was another key contributor,  going 3-for-3 with four  RBI and a  stolen base.
 Union County's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Cumberland Gap, their loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 3-2.
 Union County will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cumberland Gap: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
