Volleyball Recap: Clovis Beats Clovis West for Their Third Straight Win

Clovis waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Clovis West Golden Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Golden Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

While Clovis won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-19.

Trey Alexander paced Clovis' offense, picking up 12 kills. Alexander got some help from Aiden Insyarath and his 33 assists. Finally, Alexander was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Clovis' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Clovis West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
