After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lodi, St. Mary was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the West Wolfpack by a score of 15-11. The Rams' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Ava Arucan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and ten unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Maya Garcia was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Matea Muraoka, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
