Soccer Recap: Manitowoc Lincoln Takes a Loss

Manitowoc Lincoln and Brookfield East squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Manitowoc Lincoln had to settle for second. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Manitowoc Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Brookfield East are ranked first).

Manitowoc Lincoln's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Brookfield East, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-0-3 record this season.

Manitowoc Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookfield East, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Kimberly on the 25th.
