Newark Memorial picks up ninth straight win on the road

The Newark Memorial Cougars can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand James Logan a 3-0 shutout. Give Newark Memorial's defense some credit: that's the team's seventh straight shutout.

They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of Ibrahim Ahmed and Jose Gomez, who scored all three of Newark Memorial's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 18 so far this season.

Newark Memorial's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-0-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 43 goals over those nine matches. As for James Logan, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7-3.
