Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sandy Creek). They blew past the Nebraska Christian Eagles 74-52 on Thursday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-28.

The victory made it two in a row for Sandy Creek and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for Nebraska Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-4 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Sandy Creek Cougars take on the Superior Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Nebraska Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Heartland at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
