Basketball Game Preview: New London Tigers vs. Hillcrest Academy Ravens

The New London Tigers will face off against the Hillcrest Academy Ravens on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, New London didn't have quite enough to beat Wapello and fell 40-38.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-54 heartbreaker at the hands of Van Buren County.

Hillcrest Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for New London, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-21.

New London suffered a grim 60-39 defeat to Hillcrest Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can New London avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
