Football Recap: Princeton Tigers vs. Tecumseh Braves
Princeton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Tecumseh Braves by a score of 28-16.
Karwin Pope was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 256 yards and three TDs while picking up 16.0 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made one tackle. Princeton also got help from Quintyn Voltz, who showed off his sure hands for 85 receiving yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Princeton's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
Looking ahead, Princeton is taking a road trip to challenge Pike Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tecumseh, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against North Posey at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Braves' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
