Basketball Recap: Graham Blackman and Bennett Church Secure Win for Piedmont + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Piedmont, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls on Monday as they made off with a 59-39 win. The Panthers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 4th (when they won 87-40).

Piedmont was led to victory by Bennett Church and Graham Blackman. Church shot 56% from the field to rack up 17 points along with five assists and four steals, while Blackman went 7-for-13 en route to 18 points and five boards. That's the most points Church has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Staton, who scored six points and five rebounds.

Piedmont's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piedmont won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Parkwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Stanly, they will welcome Central Academy of Technology & Arts at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
