Softball Game Preview: Nestucca Bobcats vs. Knappa Loggers

For the second straight game, Nestucca will face off against Knappa. The Bobcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Loggers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Nestucca is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Knappa hit Nestucca with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bobcats fell 6-1 to the Loggers. Bobcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Loggers since on Tuesday.

Piper Armstrong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

The win snapped Knappa's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-5-1 record. As for Nestucca, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-17.
